Resort
What is check-in/check out time?
Our resort check-in time is at 4pm or later. Check-out is at 11am or earlier.
Do you allow smoking on property? In the rooms?
The Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort is a smoke-free property. Smoking is only allowed in designated areas outside of the resort. If there is evidence of smoking found in units, a damage charge of $250 will be applied to applicable reservation(s).
Do you offer parking on-site? How many vehicles can I bring?
Yes, we have an underground parking structure (7ft clearance). One (1) parking permit per reservation will be issued upon arrival. Additional vehicles will be directed to park in public lots in Carlsbad Village or street parking around the resort- subject to availability.
How much do you charge for WiFi internet access?
WiFi internet access is complimentary. Login credentials will be issued upon check-in.
Do you have a fitness center? What are the hours?
Yes, we have a fitness center. Hours are 8am-8pm daily.
Do you have a pool? What are the hours?
Yes, we have a family-friendly outdoor heated pool. Hours are 8am-10pm daily.
Do you have a Jacuzzi? What are the hours?
Yes, we have an adults-only Jacuzzi (18+) and a family Jacuzzi. The adults-only Jacuzzi is open daily from 8am-11pm. The family Jacuzzi is open daily from 8am-10pm.
Am I allowed additional guests on property while staying?
Resort grounds and amenities are available to registered resort guests only. As a registered guest, you may bring in additional friends or family up to the occupancy of your rented accommodations.
May I fly a drone on property?
Operation and use of drones, radio controlled aircraft, or unmanned aerial systems (“Drones”) are prohibited within the boundaries of the resort, unless pre-registered and authorized for specified event purposes. Unauthorized operators may not operate Drones for take-off or landing on resort property, and may not fly Drones over the immediate airspace above the resort.
Do you implement resort quiet hours?
Yes, our resort quiet hours start at 9pm and end at 9am.

Reservations
Do you charge a daily Resort Fee?
Yes, the Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort charges a $30 per day resort fee plus applicable taxes. Please contact the front desk for details regarding the amenities and services this fee includes. You can also check out our amenities or activities pages for more info. The resort fee includes parking.
Do you take reservation requests?
When making a reservation you may notate a request during the booking process. Requests are not guaranteed and subject to availability upon arrival.
Is my photo ID and credit card required to check-in for reservation(s)?
Yes, credit cards used for deposits/prepayments must be physically presented at check in by the card holder along with matching government issued ID. If original credit card is not presented upon check in, the Carlsbad Inn may accept an alternative card and matching ID to substitute for payment and will issue a refund back to the original card. Any alternative forms of payment or ID will not be accepted.
What is the minimum age requirement to check into the room?
Guests must be a minimum of 18 years old to check in to the Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort.
Is there a charge or authorization for incidentals?
Yes, we require a credit card for incidentals upon check-in. Cash will not be accepted for incidentals.
What is your cancellation/deposit policy?
Cancellation policies vary based on room type and season; please check your reservation confirmation for cancellation details. 100% deposit of the reservation total will be collected upon booking. As long as the reservation is cancelled outside the applicable cancellation period a full refund will be issued.
Do you have adjoining rooms?
Yes, our adjoining rooms are a Standard King guest room to a Standard Double Queen guest room and based on availability upon arrival. Please contact the front desk for more information at (760) 434-7020.
Are rollaway beds or air mattresses available?
Yes, rollaway beds or air mattresses are available on a first-come-first-serve basis at the time of check-in. Only one (1) rollaway or one (1) air mattress is allowed per room. Due to fire code restrictions, we are not permitted to allow rollaway beds or air mattresses in our Standard Double Queen guest rooms. A daily use fee will be added to the total reservation cost.
Do you have cribs or pack 'n' plays available? Is there a charge?
Yes, pack 'n' plays are available to you free of charge based on availability.

Pets
Are pets allowed?
No, the Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort is not a pet-friendly resort. Fully trained and qualified ADA service animals are exempt.

Transportation & Directions/Location
How do I get to the Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort?
From San Diego International Airport take Interstate 5 north (~35 miles) and exit Carlsbad Village Drive. Head west to Carlsbad Blvd and go left at the signal. We are the first driveway entrance on your right. You can check out our maps and directions page here.
Do you offer free shuttle service from the airport?
No, we do not offer shuttle services. You can take a taxi, Uber or Lyft from the airport. It’s about a 45-minute drive. There are a few public transportation options including the local Coaster train. Please call the front desk at (760) 434-7020 for additional information on local transit options.
What are your cross streets?
Carlsbad Village Drive and Carlsbad Blvd (Pacific Coast Highway).
Can I walk to restaurants, bars, and shops from the resort?
Yes! We are located in downtown Carlsbad. You can walk to almost everything you’d want on a vacation including the beach, restaurants/bars, wineries, boutiques, surfboard rentals, coffee shops, train stop and so much more. Inquire with our Front Desk or Activities team if you need suggestions!
